Morgan has always known that she was destined to be a writer. She wrote her first story at 6 years old, scribbling line after line about two gummy bears who fell in love. At age 10 - to her parent's chagrin - she constructed her own personal reading space in her home's linen closet, climbing up to the top shelf with a flashlight and a book and reading late into many San Diego nights. Mere weeks before Morgan entered her teenage years, her work was published for the first time; her poem "A Day in the Life of a Barbie Doll" won an award at the Border Voices Poetry Fair and was subsequently included in the 2004 edition of the Border Voices poetry anthology. Though her gummy bear book never reached the masses and she can no longer fit into most linen closets, Morgan has never lost her love for storytelling.
When she's not reading or writing, Morgan enjoys chasing her favorite sports teams around the country, exploring the NYC dining scene, traveling, and playing pickup soccer at the East River Park. She lives in the East Village, and is currently training for her first half marathon.
